Step 1 Sanding

Use of a sanding machine to grind and sand the top layer of the timber to remove any surface imperfections like scratches, discolouration, uneven surfaces.

There will be minimal dust as our machine comes with its own vacuum pouch to suck up the dust from the sanding.

After which, the surface will be sanded again to ensure a smooth consistent surface which allows the varnish to be coated properly.

Step 2 Patching

Filling up of gaps between wood panels with wood fillers and to smoothen the surface.

This is also to ensure the varnish coating can be applied evenly later.

Any repairs like the replacement of panels or loose panels will be fixed before the sanding process.

Step 3 Varnish

Apply a layer of lacquer to give the wood a strong and durable surface.

Finally, a layer of polyurethane coating (oil-based) will be applied to give your floor a beautiful finish.

Available in Matte, Semi-gloss or Glossy finish.

For those who are concerned about strong smells, can opt for water-based coating instead.
